I had to gloat though when I read about this year's events - rain, rain and more rain - how we miss living in the North West (not). We've done more riding in the short time we've been back in Pompey than all the time we lived in Warrington (that arsehole of a place). I've still got my Drag Star Classic 1100 and Jeff's got a Kawasaki Meanstreak so we're still Jap Crapping but Jeff keeps eyeing up a Fat Boy (these sailors are buggers) and has suggested that "we" replace my bike with that. Sounds like Jeff 2 bikes, Sandy 0 to me. I hope you're all having fun up there and I hope Dennis is getting better, despite having his bike nicked. If any of you are coming South or taking a Portsmouth ferry do come and see us or break your journey by staying overnight (I miss my Harley boys). Love and Kisses, Sandy |

| Comments: | Help! The Speedometer on my FXST TC88 packed up on Saturday. Does anyone know about electronic speedos? It seems to have power because it moves slightly when I turn on the ignition but neither the speed or miles register. I've spoken to Ants at big twin, who suggested I clean the sensor. Big Twin are a bit busy at the moment so I can't take it in yet. I'm not sure whether the bit I cleaned was the sensor! I think it's located on the top, rear or the gearbox, although I don't see how it works as it's just a little cylinder. Anyway it didn't make any diference. I've also been on to Centurion H-D but they didn't ring me back. Any suggestions which would save me £200+ would be most welcome. |

| Comments: | Hi everybody, Just a quick thanks to all those who turned up for the rideout on the 7th April. I realise it was officially early for our club rideouts but the weather was unmissable. I only hope that the numbers of people meeting on Sunday stays the same or even better improves. Thanks to Stuart who led the rideout and maybe a suggestion to the website guru. Is it possible to create an extra page whereby club members could submit photos of themselves and their bikes so that we (I)could refer to instead of asking somebody their name for the 3rd time. It could be like the FBI's most wanted or Crimewatch with mugshots holding their illegal size number plates in front of themselves. Obviously the photos would have to be vetted as some of the pictures of our club members would need improvement in 'Photo-Shop' before being displayed in public. |
